Harima Midori

Born in 1976 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated with a BFA in Oil Painting and Printmaking Course from Joshibi University of Art and Design in 2000. She is currently based in Kanagawa Prefecture. Harima's art practice is rooted in her experiences with printed matter. Her early works featured paper sculptures made from black-and-white photocopied images collected from various media. In recent years, she employs analog reproducible media—including prints, photographs, film, and video—to explore ways to decenter the artist with respect to the artwork and artmaking.
Her latest exhibitions include "To Mend Again" (The Terminal KYOTO, 2025), "Prints/Places" (Maho Kubota Gallery, Tokyo, 2023), "This is A Mirror" (The Shirley Fiterman Art Center, New York, 2023). She participated in the Exchange Residency Program [Seoul], 2015, Tokyo Wonder Site.
