Moon Kyungwon & Jeon Joon

Moon was born in Seoul and Jeon in Busan, both in 1969, and they live and work in Seoul. As solo artists, Moon worked mainly in painting and experimental film and Jeon in sculpture and installation. They teamed up to work as a duo in 2009. Their News from Nowhere project interrogates the social function and role of art in the contemporary world through conversations and collaborations with experts in a variety of fields.
Recent major exhibitions include Every Island is a Mountain (Palazzo Malta, Venice, Italy, 2025), Seoul Weather Station (Art Sonje Center, Seoul, Korea, 2022), News from Nowhere (21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, 2022), and Minds Rising, Spirits Tuning (Gwangju Biennale, Gwangju, Korea, 2021).
