Nemoto Shumpei

Born in 1983 in Kanagawa. He studied dance in Japan and the UK. In recent years, he has been focused on both the process of constructing his own sound systems and that of engaging the moving body to generate sound, a pursuit he continues through daily practice.

His recent performances include “Underway” (ROHM Theatre Kyoto ROHM Square, 2025), “Night Sea” (Fujimi Civic Cultural Center Kirari Fujimi, Saitama, 2024), “Night Sea, Island, Wave(s)” (Unterwegs Theater Heidelberg, Germany, 2023).

He participated in “OPEN SITE 2018-2019: It captures me, It moves me and It's gone” (Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo).
