Shinoda Taro

Born in 1964 Tokyo and died in 2022. After studying landscape gardening, Shinoda began his artistic career. His practice consistently and deeply interrogated the relationship between humans and nature, spanning drawing, sculpture, video, and installation, and earning wide international recognition. Recent major exhibitions include Sharjah Biennial 12: The Past, the Present, the Possible (Sharjah, UAE, 2015), Homo Sapiens Sapiens (Taka Ishii Gallery, Tokyo, 2012), and Painting of a Four Year Old (balzerARTprojects, Basel, Switzerland, 2012).
