Born in 2000 in Yamagata Prefecture. She completed an MA in Arts and Society at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Her practice focuses on the intersection of feminist and queer perspectives with decolonial discourses, exploring the transformative potential of identity and relationality. She also undertook a research internship at Cemeti: Institute for Art and Society in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, where she engaged with local artist collectives and organized collaborative programs. Through this experience, she has been exploring the history and development of the contemporary art scene in Southeast Asia—particularly Indonesia—from a practical, on-the-ground perspective.
Recent curatorial projects include “Regarding the Unlocatable Others” (The 5th floor, Tokyo, 2025), “Art Collaboration Kyoto Public Program 2025” (Kyoto International Conference Center, 2025, co-curated with Martin Germann), “PROCESS IN PROGRESS: RIKU EIMURA × RYOHEI SHIMADA” (Ruang MES56, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 2025), among others.
She participated in the 2025 Overseas Study Visit Program for Art Management Professionals (São Paulo Biennial).
